Tidal Wave

Your love is a great ocean
An ocean reaching onto forever
As far as the east is from the west
Your love rages and crashes
Yes, Your love rages intensely

Your love rages for me
Your jealousy swells all around me
Your frustrated screams thunder in my ears
If I’m so desperate for You
If I so desire You,
Then why do I ignore You?
Why are my ears so deaf to Your screams?

You clamp Your hands over Your ears
You squeeze Your eyes shut
As my lukewarm worship burns within You
It races like fire through Your blood
Pulsing pain within Your heart
Lightening pulses within You,
Striking me in my indifference

Your tears plunge
Deep into the ocean of Your love
Tossing me, swallowing me
Within the stormy seas
You want to consume me
Desperately You crave to drown me in Your love
I cry out in agony
I spit my worship in Your face
Struggling, fighting,
Keeping my head above the waters

O’ I know I need to surrender
To sink, to dive
Deeper and deeper
Till I’m consumed by your love.

O’ I know, I know,
I need to give in, to give up
To lose control
But sometimes the fear is so great
Sometimes the fear is so huge
That I need your tidal wave to take me under.

Take me under, take me under
Crash over me
Wash over me
Drown me in your tidal wave

Push me deep into the ocean of your love
I want to breathe it in
To swallow your love
Till I’m drenched in your adoration
Completely one with you

Caught in the flood of Your mercy
Washed in the blood of Your grace
I am overwhelmed by You
Tossed by Your tidal wave
Thrown by waves of Your love
I cry out, ‘Cause I’m desperate.
I’m desperate for Your love.

Under Him

I long to dwell under his wings
Under his authority
Under his blessings
Under the glorious wash of his love
I want to sway and dance beneath his gaze
I want to clasp my hands behind his neck
To gaze into his eyes
O’ to fall under the crashing of his mercy.
To feel his love overwhelming me.
His arms lifting me up
Twirling round and round
His laughter falling all around

I long to reside under his watchful eyes
Under his counsel
Under his guidance
Under his awesome wisdom
I want to speak with his approval
I want to walk carefully in his footprints
To step where he has stepped, to walk as he walked
O’ to live out a life as rich as his
To dedicate my all to God
Walking justly, loving mercy
Total and passionate abandon to you
Swells of your compassion everywhere

I long to live under the power of your blood
Under your healing
Under your favour
Under the wash of your scarlet rain
I want to live with power and authority
I want to speak as one redeemed
To live a life that’s unashamed
O’ to live a life marked by mercy and grace
To reside in your power
Acting on behalf of my righteous Lord
To know that love has purchased me
Rejoicing as a desperate prisoner set free.

May I?

May I sit and talk with you?
May I listen as you share,
Good times, bad times and tears?

May I hold your hand?
May I dance with you
And enjoy the sound of your laughter?

May I speak encouraging words to you?
May I show you that I love you
Through the blood, the pain and the scars?

May I whisper secrets in your ears?
May I entrust to you my heart
So you can bring honour to my name?

May I walk with you awhile?
May I join you in your journey
And advise you where to go?

May I anoint your head with oil?
May I pronounce my blessings over you
And make my favour for you known?

May I lavish my delight upon you?
May I call you my beloved
And hold you in high regards?

May I love you?
May I get to know you?
May I spend time with you?
Don’t you know I desire you?

Harvesters Arise!

Arise Harvesters! Arise O’ Harvesters, Arise!
Arise and answer the cry of your Lord
Arise and touch the heart of your Lord
Arise and grasp his desperation, his desire

The fields are ripe for harvest
Fruits are falling hard and heavy
Deep hunger is mounting
Desperate cries are rising

A table lays waiting
The table is overflowing
Food is falling from the table
Living water is overflowing
Abundance is waiting

The hungry world is crying out
The hungry world is screaming
Their souls know only poverty
Their souls know only want

Where are the harvesters?
They are hungry
The table is overflowing
Feed them

Where are the harvesters?
They are thirsty
Living water is overflowing
Satisfy them

Why have the harvesters abandoned their work?
Why have they dropped their sickles?
Why have they left their fields?
Why do they lay, in silent slumber,
Ignoring the cries of the hungry?

A great harvest is upon them
Greater than they can bear
An overflow of abundance is waiting
The Lord of the Harvest is calling for harvesters

Arise Harvesters! Arise O’ Harvesters, Arise!
Arise and answer the cry of your Lord
Arise and touch the heart of your Lord
Arise and grasp his desperation, his desire

Gather his people to him
Gather his children to him
Raise his Beloved, raise his Church
Raise her so she may raise her voice to bless Him.
To worship Him and to release His glory,
To unleash His beauty
And to take back his dominion

Arise Harvesters! Arise O’ Harvesters, Arise!
Arise and answer the cry of your Lord
Arise and touch the heart of your Lord
Arise and grasp his desperation, his desire

Worthy is the Lamb

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
Holy is the Lamb that was slain
Worthy is the Lamb of God
Worthy, he’s so worthy

The power of his blood washes over us
The anointing of his blood pours over us
And we rejoice in his downpour
We shout praises in the torrent
Because we know his blood is powerful
We know his anointing cleanses us

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
Holy is the Lamb that was slain
Worthy is the Lamb of God
Worthy, he’s so worthy

We look and we see him
We witness him in his glory
And we worship him
We raise our voices
We lift our hands
We sing on our faces
We praise his Holy name

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
Holy is the Lamb that was slain
Worthy is the Lamb of God
Worthy, he’s so worthy

Open Up The Heavens

Open up the Heavens
Throw the shutters wide
Clear a path of blessing
And invite us to reside
Pour down grace and glory
Release to us your beauty,
Emit to us your strength

Open up the Heaven’s
Open Heaven,
O’ Father, Open Heaven
Open Heaven,
Open up the Heaven’s

Open up the Heavens
Tear wide the skies
And let your glory fall
Show your face to us
Reveal your beautiful, beautiful face
Amaze us with your beauty
Release to us it’s strength

Open up the Heaven’s
Open Heaven,
O’ Father, Open Heaven
Open Heaven,
Open up the Heaven’s

Open up the Heavens
Beckon us inside
Call us to your side
Dare us to press further
Spur us forward in our fight
We desire your blessings
We crave your sweet release

Open up the Heaven’s
Open Heaven,
O’ Father, Open Heaven
Open Heaven,
Open up the Heaven’s

Open up the Heavens
We are running to your side
Embrace us in our desire
And tell us what you decide
Teach us Holy Spirit
Bless us precious God
We want the Heaven’s Open

Open up the Heaven’s
Open Heaven,
O’ Father, Open Heaven
Open Heaven,
Open up the Heaven’s

Tell Me When It's Over

Tell me when it's over.
Tell me when I can lift my head and smile.
Tell me when the winter winds stop raging.
When the seas stop churning black and eerie,
And thunder doesn't split the sky.
Tell me when the peace has settled.
When the storm has come and gone
When I can stand upright
To dance and to sing without the fear of scorn.
Tell me when you, in your power,
Have settled on your rightful throne
Tell me that I am your own.

I am cold,
I am wet and worn,
Weary of the raging storm
Sick of the tossing of the waves
The rolling of the currents
The threat of death and life without you,
Tell me when it's over.
Tell me when victory splits the veil
Tell me when your power soothes and warns
Tell me when you hold the keys to life and death

Tell me so I can praise you,
Tell me so I can pour sweet incense on your feet
And bless your ears with jubilee
Tell me so I can sink,
Deeper and deeper,
Until I'm drowning in the wash of your blood,
Enveloped in the depth of your love
Tell me my Salvation has come
Tell me the scourge is over
When the blight has ceased and praises consume the skies
Tell me when it's over
And I can be your own.

The Kiss

A sense of passionate obligation
Soaked in pure delight
So close and yet so far
She lays asleep, her door ajar
As restlessly, recklessly he paces
Desiring her delight
Craving her company
Yearning to reach her in the night
His bare feet
Longing with tense anticipation
Were ready to run
Ready to be caught up in the passion
That would carry him closer to her
He wanted to run
To flood her chambers with light
To embrace her warmly
And lavish his love upon her
To pull her up and dance with her
Taking pleasure in the sound of her laughter
O' to pour annointed oil upon her head
To watch it run in golden ropes
Crowning her with his love
Declaring her his beloved
O' to feel her arms clasp round his neck
Her forehead resting on his shoulder
Comfortable as he held her
Satisfied and delighted in his presence
O' to have her know his love and to love him
To kiss her lips and to leave her craving more
To have her as his own
His feet could stay no longer
And he ran to meet her in her chambers
To woo her in her dreams
To tease her lips with whispered kisses
To draw her feet to dance
Her heart to love
And her spirit deeper into his arms
Where he could hold her close
Where he could release to her the passion
Of a Holy kiss.

Vision

I see angels,
I see demons,
I see hate
And I see love

My vision is so blurry
I see distortion, fear, confusion
Though I strain I cannot see
My eyes will not see,

In the night season I watch them
They haunt me in my dreams
And blind my eyes
I cannot turn my vision from them

I see their weapons clashing, crashing
Always victorious over me
I am ensnared in their battle
And I see what they want me to see

I cry for freedom
Freedom to hate, or freedom to love
The freedom to look and to see what’s above
In desperation I cry for freedom.

I want freedom and so I reach
I lift hands stained with earth and blood
Battle stained hands lifted up
And through the dark his hands grasp mine

I feel his warm hands,
Sticky with blood
And I turn my blind eyes towards Him
Demanding that he lift me up

He raises me
Drawing me close
And cradles my face in his hands
As he so gently kisses my blind eyes

Tenderly he rubs my eyelids with his bloody thumb
And I revel in His compassion as I open my eyes to see
And view his face,
Broken and bloody, but alive with a smile

Within his eyes I see my reflection
Within his eyes I see freedom
Within his eyes I see desire
And I know what is above

Move

My feet beneath me are paralysed in fear
My arms are strapped so tightly to my sides
I cannot move and so I lay
I want to move and so I pray

Move me Lord
Move me God

Freedom, cry freedom
Freedom for my feet
Freedom, cry freedom
Freedom, for my arms

Like David I dance
I twist, I leap, I sway
As Josiah sought you for your way
I will seek to move your way

I will run where you tell me to run
I will jump when you tell me to jump
I will give you everything

Everything Lord, all of me
Everything God, all my days.

Go Forth

I will go where you lead me
I will follow when you speak
I will grab your hands
And seek your face
I am willing to go forth in your name

But these deaf ears of mine
Have me begging for a neon sign
And I don’t know where to go.
But you will open wide my deaf ears
You will pour the waters of the deep into me
And never let me go

Lord speak to me
God call my name
Tell me I am yours again
Cause my world is black,
I feel under attack
And your voice seems absent in my pain
So, lift my eyes to see you once again
And fill my ears with thunder,
Cause I’m slipping under

Resurrect me
Lift up and grasp me to your chest
Raise me and whisper blessings in my ears
And I will praise you
With words that have been strengthened
Acute words strengthened by the storm
Cutting words read from the pages of my heart
Torn from the conviction of my love for you
Resurrect me Lord, resurrect me
Raise me higher, draw me closer

The Song of the Prophet

In the dusty and baron land
His sandals raise no dust
Around his footprints
Is crying, cracked ground
But where he steps
There is abundant life.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our God who’s feet spread blessing.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our God who’s voice commands honour.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our KING and his KINGDOM
He is awesome
He is strong and mighty
He is awesome
His love endures forever and his promises are good.
His promises are good
We receive them! We receive them!
We receive your promises!
We believe them! We believe them!
We believe your promises!
You do not lie Lord, You do not lie!
Your promises are good.
Good, good, good, good,
Your promises are good.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our God who’s feet spread blessings.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our God who’s voice commands honour.
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Is our KING and his KINGDOM

Generation of Blessing

“…Father God please give me the words to bless the older generation. Give me the words to bless my parents and my parents parent’s. Father give me the words that I need to demonstrate the picture you have given to me in my head. Manifest the words Lord. I see a conversation, I see an embrace, I see a mighty army who is repentant, who is passionate and draws strength from your might. I see a conversation between this army Lord, this generation, my generation, and the older generation, the generation that has raised us up, that has claimed us Lord, and that has yearned for us to be manifested within the earth. Lord I see this conversation. I see this conversation between You and this blessed older generation. I see their desires which are your desires and I see them claiming it. I see them fighting for us. And I see them overcoming, this is a battle that You will win for them. Their children shall bless them. So Lord share with me the words of this conversation, Lord give me the words to assure them of their victory. Give me the words to encourage them in their battle. Give me the words Lord, just give me the words. Thank you…”

He is bowed
Prostrate on the floor of the throne room.
He is humbled
Repentant for his sins and made pure.
He is grieved
And his tears fall hard and heavy.
He is Father
And his prayers are forever in the ears of God.

She is bowed
Prostrate on the floor of the throne room.
She is humbled
Repentant for her sins and made pure.
She is grieved
And her tears fall hard and heavy.
She is mother
And her prayers are forever in the ears of God.

Father, Mother together
Kneeling, crying, praying.
Father, Mother together
Safe within the arms of God.
Father, Mother together
Fighting while darkness is rising.Holding back the advances of evil .
Holding on to those they love.

Christ is in Heaven.
Christ is within them.
Christ is on the throne,
And He desires to bless them.

Robed in glory he approaches,
Robed in splendour he drops to his knees
And gathers them to his chest.

The generations are joining
The generations are merging
The generations are one
They are ONE
They are ONE
They are ONE
The generations have joined
The generations have merged
The generations are one

One body, one whole body
One body, one whole body

What is the hand without the arm?
What is the foot without the leg?
What is the ear without the head?
What is the heart without the lungs?
What are the lungs without the blood?

One body, one whole body
One body, one whole body

Sometimes

Sometimes
When I’m quiet and still
When I lean into God’s will
I feel the touch that calms my soul
That soothes my mind
That cradles my body
And steals the chill from my circumstances.

Sometimes
When I sing and shout
When I clap my hands and cry
I feel the impact of God’s smile
I hear his laughter flooding my soul
I hear his music echoing in my mind
Entering my feet and moving my body to dance as God designs
As I declare victory over all my battles.

Sometimes
When I’m broken and desperate
When I’m alone, scared and crying out
I pray and I hear no answer
I cry and I receive no relief
And the hope I cling to in you is a hope I can’t seem to find
Yet this absence is deceiving
Your love is eternal and monumental
You never leave my side.

So Sometimes
When I’m quiet and still
Sometimes
When I sing and shout
Sometimes when I’m broken and desperate
I remember your faithfulness and I embrace your love for me
You are worthy of my praise, my Lord, the Rock of my Salvation

More

How come when I speak to you, you leave me needing to hear more?
Your words, alive yet dead, leave me wondering alone
What pain is hidden deep inside?
Is it in the place your loneliness resides where your soul crawls to die?
You’re there but you’re not there
You’re spirit wrestling with your mind, knocks your body out of line
And I so want to know you as the person God designed
Have you ever truly known love?
Have you truly ever felt alive?
Or have your secrets always tripped you up inside?
I don’t know your story I only see your face
Only witness your act
But I hear you speak with words unheard
I hear you cry in a language I have spoken
So often I have spoken too few words
Alive, yet dead inside, I scream
Hidden in my pain, my loneliness.
My spirit wrestling with my mind, had knocked my body out of line
And all I desired was for someone to notice,
To care and to miss me, for the girl I was, was no where to be found
So maybe my intent is selfish
To help myself as I help you
To ease my loneliness as I ease yours
But I hear you and you leave me needing to hear more.

Burden Breaker

When I am bent and broken
And my back is burdened under a load I cannot carry
You come to me
You walk beside me as I walk the road of treacherous thorns
You cry with me as I stumble
As my feet become broken, bruised and sore
Gently You touch my shoulder
Your eyes alive with tears
You take in the twisted, crippled form that is my back
You know I cannot stand up and meet your eyes
My burden has cast me low
I am unwittingly, yet rightfully bowed low
Your love for me in my bent and broken state is the burden which You carry
And the weight of it upon Your shoulder has cast you down to my level
I can meet Your eyes as You stumble,
Tripping as You walk beside me on this path
You speak with me as we walk
You listen to me as we talk
You cry with me as I share the pain of the burden I am shouldering
And You beg me to let You take my burdens
But I grasp onto them all the tighter
How can I let go of something that I have been carrying for so long?
You have your own burden to carry I protest
My burden would be too much for you to carry
You grunt under the pressure of Your load and I cast my eyes away
“My love”
You say
“I am a strong man,
Do you not see my hands?
They are weathered, capable and strong
I am a carpenter by trade
A man of strength and aggression
I have harvested mighty cedars since my youth
Cut them down in the fullness of their glory
With my hands tightly gripped around the handle of my axe.
Do you not see my feet?
I have traveled many miles upon the scorched desert sand
The skin of my feet does not tear easily
They are callused and strong.
And do you not recognize the tenderness of my heart?
Do you not realize that you are the burden I carry?
Do you not know that I cry when you cry?
I hurt when you hurt?
And do you not know that my love for you
Causes me to bow low and meet your eyes?
Love, I am the burden breaker
I am the back onto which burdens come to die
In me you can find freedom
And in me will find love
If you desire to relieve my burden child,
Then stand upright and give me yours.”

Freedom Rings

In the darkness, in the deep despairing place
Where the burden wears me down
Causing me to trip and to fall
I cry aloud
I scream in anguish and I gasp for air
The stench of this place in drawn into my lungs
I cough and I choke
Where are you Lord?
Where are you in this place?
In my despair I cry for you
In my anguish I hope to hear your voice
I hope to know your love
And then you come and your glory doesn't crack the sky
You come and not a single person stirs within their sleep.
In humility you coo and cry
In humility you live and die
As our high priest clothed in purity you enter the holy of holies
We listen, breath held, palms sweating
To the ringing of the bells along your garment hem
We listen, breath held, palms sweating
As you plead for our redemption before God
As you offer up sacrifices before the Lord God Most High
We listen and we wonder
Then the sounds of the bells stop ringing and we stand silent with baited breath
Death is a certain threat when dealing with the Lord Our God
We wait as a minute passes
As another goes by we pray, silent and earnest
And then the third minute begins
We count down the seconds,
Our hands gripping the rope to pull out the body of our perished priest
5-4-3-2-
Resounding thunder fills the air as God's glory cracks the sky
The temple veil is torn in half
And freedom rings loud and clear on the hem of our high priests robe.

Apparition

I saw an apparition of myself
An age old face and tale
She stood outside a crowded house behind a golden veil
And tears were running down her face
Yes tears cascading splashed
And stained her spotless gown of gold
Causing it to rust and crack
Far from all she stood in fear
Far from all she prayed
Unwilling that her spotless gown be made a paupers rag
And from those who saw and did their best
To embrace her hidden pain
To ease her loneliness and fear
To break her heavy chains
She ran…

She ran and threw herself off of a muddy cliff
Then down and down and down she fell
Her bones all out of joint
And no one sought her
No one caught her
For all had turned away
All had given up
For no one could embrace the girl behind the veil of gold
All alone, so lonely
She lay enthroned in mud
Her body bruised and broken
Her dignity clear torn away
Her might, her valour broken
As she lay and mourned the day.

She had rejected with words unspoken
Lacking mercy, grace and love
She had run and come undone
Held fear in close regards
And now lay isolated
Broken and degraded
Dead to all who knew her
Dead to all she was
Then hope embraced her greatly
A hand reached from above
And with resurrection power
Softly picked her up
Carefully, so gently
He replaced her bones to joint
Carefully, so gently
He wiped the mud away
He blessed
And He softly kissed her lips
Blessed, Holy, Pure
He named her
Blessed, Holy, Pure
And set upon her forehead a defining Holy seal
He filled her mouth with music
He filled her heart with love
And He sent her out.

Be hope to the hopeless
Love to the unloved
Truth to lying tongues
Embrace the unbeliever
Hold the stained, the bruised and unloved
Fear not the scourge of tarnish
Fear not the risk of stain
For all will fear and tremble
At the sound of your Father’s name
And all your faults are forgiven
In the wash of his scarlet rain.

This Monster

Here I sit
Cold and alone on the hard concrete
Feeling foolish yet remaining simply to cater to the appetite of pride
My mistakes have snared me
Snatched me up and thrown me down
But though I know you hear
Though I know you forgive
In stubborn pride I sit
Pen and paper in hand
Cold and alone on the hard concrete
How many times have I sat here?
How many times have I fed this brutal monster?
This monster who clamps it’s jaws around my life
Who sucks the life blood from my veins
And is never satisfied
Must I run this track for 40 years before I realize
Before I cease to feed my pride and crush his head instead?
His devices are not so powerful
His tactics are old and frail
Will I remain mistress to pride
Or will humility prevail?

Fresh Worship

Bound in chains,
Cast beneath the heavy weight of earth
Brittle bones jutting from rotting flesh
Piercing white and harsh angles
Captive to death,
Stolen from life,
Suffocating, gasping; with eyes open wide
The weight of the earth crushing down on my side

I am the bones and I am the flesh
And meshed with the spirit
I shall breathe with His breath.
His whisper shall waken the beat of my heart
His shout shall arouse a victorious clout
His power shall weave through my bones,
Through my flesh
And I shall stand upright and breathe my first breath.

In Him I claimed victory
In Him I claimed life
Though entrenched in the battle
I have since lost my life
Now weary, now broken,
Now bruised and now torn,
I surrender my life,
I fail to give glory to the crown I have worn

Soaking in the blood of the sacrifice
I shall arise from death
I shall arise and breathe brand new breath
I shall arise with new bone, with new flesh
My heart shall awaken and beat in my chest
Rhythm shall pulse through my bones and my flesh
Giving life to my body
Claiming victory from death
